Yet another Michigan city has approved a resolution on Tuesday calling for decriminalization of a wide range of psychedelics such as psilocybin and ayahuasca. However, the measure falls short of what activists had hoped, in that it doesn’t actually change any city enforcement practices and merely expresses support for future reforms.

The Grant Rapids City Commission adopted the proposal in a 5-2 vote. The move comes as local and state lawmakers across Michigan are also pursuing psychedelics policy changes.

The text of the new resolution says that “those seeking to improve their health and well-being through the use of Entheogenic Plants and Fungi should have the freedom to explore these healing methods without risk of arrest and prosecution.”
